About Takoda Marketing
Focused. Effective. Resourceful.
Holly Ferrell has a passion for marketing. She believes in completely understanding her client's market and business environment, along with the customer's perspective, and then crafting visionary marketing ideas that deliver pragmatic results. "Many consultants can provide common sense thinking," she says. "What I strive to provide is uncommon sense: concepts that emerge from analyzing a situation that are simply what's expected, but go beyond the norm to take a client's marketing to the next level.".
Holly is a graduate of the S.C. Johnson School of Business at Cornell University and has completed several executive marketing courses at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She has served on the board of the Rochester Chapter of The American Marketing Association and developed and continues to facilitate the Ad Council Branding program for non-profits.
Holly is the owner and president of Takoda Marketing, a strategic marketing consulting firm, in Rochester New York, that helps clients strengthen marketing efforts by leveraging her 20+ years of corporate marketing experience. Some of Holly's career highlights include:
- Managing the skin care line at Bausch & Lomb and successfully positioning the business for sale at a strong profit
- Launching the first RX to OTC switch in Bausch & Lomb's history to first year sales that were 30% above projections
- Repositioning Birds Eye Foods frozen vegetable brand to broaden appeal to younger audience
- Creating an umbrella marketing strategy at Kodak Health Imaging and launching several new products
- Selection by the Ad Council of Rochester to create and facilitate a branding workshop for non-profit agencies.
- Strengthening market positions - via brand development and enhanced business definitions - for several clients
- Analyzing markets and developing launch strategy for a new product at Cardiac Science
In her spare time Holly rides horses, continuing a passion she started at a very young age. In fact, the company identity is based on the name of her horse, Takoda. She also hikes and enjoys other outdoor activities with her husband. One of her favorite books is "Atlas Shrugged," which may explain why she has such a commitment to delivering superior services.
